I agree that the Ukrainian people have over come great odds and have great strength and courage. I would say there are other factors. The countries of NATO were brought together quickly and swiftly and gave Ukraine the weapons they needed to push back Russia. The anti-tank weapons, surface to air weapons. Under Trump it never would have happened , that was a huge mistake for Putin. He should have invaded when Trump was in office, Trump was ready to pull the US out of NATO.
This probably shows that Putin according to his perception felt compelled when Biden replaced Trump. I don't say he is right, it is a matter of perception. Putin lives in a post-soviet world of his own.

Comparing Zelenski to Reagan is insulting. Reagan believed that the middle class and the Unions needed to be broken to enforce the anti democratic ideals of Ayn Rand. Zelenski is a champion of democracy. Also Zelenski can actually act.
I lived through the Reagan years. His biggest opponent was Tip O'Neill, who sided with communists. You are way off base. Reagan was helpful to the middle class. And I have no love for Unions that are mainly governed by Union leaders looking out for themselves and not the rank and file.
